Estimate your implantation window and the earliest day it's realistic to get a reliable pregnancy test result.
Typically 6 to 12 days after ovulation, with day 9 being the most common. This is also roughly when some people notice light implantation spotting or cramping, though many people notice nothing at all.
Most home tests need a few days after implantation for hCG levels to rise enough to detect reliably — testing on or after the day your period is due gives the most accurate result. Testing earlier increases the chance of a false negative even if you are pregnant.
Some people notice light spotting (often lighter and shorter than a period) or mild cramping around the implantation window, but many people notice no symptoms at all — its absence doesn't mean anything either way.
If you enter an ovulation date directly, we add 6–12 days to it. If you enter your last period and cycle length instead, we first estimate ovulation as 14 days before your next expected period, then apply the same 6–12 day window.
